Happy Birthday Braylon!

We made an Elmo cake. While I tried to put together two googly eyes, Colby perfected the giant orange nose which Braylon later destroyed.

Braylon is getting pretty good at opening presents and he really loves being around people. And he really loves Balloons!! The first thing he does in the morning is point to the ceiling and say 's'. He must be thinking about them in his sleep.

Catch Up!

In January Braylon and I took a trip to see how Colby's teaching is going...besides him sleeping in a mouse hole (not a joke) he seems to be doing pretty good. He is almost done with his student teaching and we are very excited. He really enjoys teaching and the students like him too. Braylon took a ride on the luggage cart.

We all traveled to Arizona again for work but his time we stopped to see the Glen Canyon Dam.

Braylon pretty much knows how to get what he wants.

VALENTINE'S DAY!
I made Colby a cupcake bouquet????

First time playing in the snow! Apparently he tripped in the snow and fell on his face a few times but he really likes the snow. Mom pushing him down a small hill in a sled is a different story. That was not a happy moment.

We took a bike ride and went to the park with Melissa, Jed and Gavin. Colby is amazing!! and shameless too. He waited patiently behind a line of small children for his turn on the slide.

Braylon is growing up so fast and he gets around too fast. It's embarrassing when your sitting in the back row at church and you look away for one second and Braylon is suddenly standing underneath the pulpit and both Colby and I are too embarrassed to go get him. It is also embarrassing when he runs at a two year old with both arms extended in excitement and then pulls her down to the ground as she is screaming.

He deliberately does things we say no to and he wakes up at 6:17 AM wide eyed, happy as can be and ready to play. Yes, Mark and Melissa I am receiving payback for those early morning singing episodes I so generously blessed you with when we were little. I am now apologizing.

On the other hand, Braylon is the greatest joy of our lives. He always makes us smile. He can say a few words like mom, dad, yes, ball, and glegloglelgo (my personal favorite). He can find trees, balloons, belly buttons and toes. But don't try to get him to find your nose because he will think you are saying 'no' and get that really sad look on his face before he cries that we can't help but laugh at.
